Interested in learning the techniques of photography to capture the beauty of the wildlife in the Rio Grande Valley? Join us at the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center as Ruth Hoyt, professional photographer, presents a workshop in which she will share tips and techniques for photographing insects, animals and even plants! Any camera can be used, from a point-and-shoot to a professional camera, even a cell phone! So bring your camera and learn about wildlife photography!
Ruth Hoyt is a professional photographer with a great love for the outdoors! Ruth has taught photography since 1990 and has led tours and workshops for various companies such as Kodak and agencies such as the National Parks system. She has her work exhibited in places such as the Smithsonian Institute, Missouri Botanical Garden and Powder Valley Nature Center and is on permanent display in two locations in Alton, Illinois, one in McAllen, Texas. Ruth has been involved in major photo competitions in the past ten years, and works with private students who are interested in competition and have a very high success rate.
